Fun With Plastic

I found my old Soviet Union built piece of crap camera. I found some film in it. I think its like 6 months old. Just to clarify, my pants aren't tight and I'm not a hipster (that is just what a hipster would say.. isn't it?)

Spring Rolls

My girlfriend Ash loves to cook. My mum loves to cook. We spent today making spring rolls.

The Bloody Wren Launch Party

Probably the most amazing party in the history of man. The Bloody Wren is a production company started by my friend Genevieve Bevan-John, and Joe Downing. The night was a blend of awesome music, burlesque performance, blood wrestling in a dark alley, pinata smashing, beer filled fun. I was lucky enough to go along and get some shots. Enjoy!

Trying Times

For those of you who know me, you will know that a camera is never far away. I tend to document every aspect of my life. During happy occasions, so I take photos so I can remember. During strange and unusual events, I take photos so I do not forget. During sad times, I use my camera as a kind of wall. It sits between me and reality, and therefore is my way of coping.

The last two weeks have been fairly devastating for me. On Saturday, the 29th of Jan, a CT scan revealed that a cough my mother could not shake was actually a growth in her right lung; the cough, a result of fluid build up. A subsequent lung biopsy revealed the worst. The growth was cancerous and had metastasized throughout her lungs. She has never smoked, very rarely drinks, and exercises more than I do.

Ever since, I have been with her; acting as a carer and helping manage appointment times. Here are some images. Documenting through photography is my way of coping.

St Kilda Pride March 2011

Although I am myself not personally gay, I have a few friends who are. I decided to come along to the annual St Kilda Pride March. There was everything from banners and drag queens to a full DeLorean with a dummy dressed as Micheal Jackson.

Chúc Mừng Năm Mới

With the lunar new year, I have decided to relaunch my blog. Here are some images from the Lunar New Year celebrations at the Quang Minh Buddhist temple, Braybrook.
