Kinky Sex (Makes the World Go Round)
A few years back, I followed a group of dominatrixes working in Fitzroy. The Correction Centre used to be based close to the heart of the bustling hub of Brunswick St. I befriended many of the mistresses and keep contact with them to this day.
One of these mistresses is Alex Vicia. Here are some images of her at work in her new dungeon. These pics are from a couple of different days, with one of the slaves being one of the original slaves I photographed three years back.

Melbourne Cup
I'm not the type of person who shows any particular interest in horse racing or fashion. It was for that reason, I decided to spend the day away from the crowds in Melbourne's CBD. With a public holiday and wet weather predicted, I knew I would have an opportunity to stroll in the rain and experience a relatively empty city.
Later in the day, racegoers started to flow into the city. Beautiful women, handsome men, and drunkards started flowing in off the train. Flinders street become awash with colour. At about the same time, a wave of rain flowed across the city. I was lucky enough to spot this lady watching them dash across Flinders Street trying to avoid the rain.

Green
Mum looks like she has the real meds. She's breaking out in acne, and showing a great deal of other side affects. Her breathing has improved and the other day, we decided to go explore Sydney Rd, Brunswick. Well, we actually went to St Kilda to go check out a Pho restaurant (If you don't know what Pho is, look it up. Your life will be forever changed), but it was closed and we ended up checking out cafes and other shops.
We decided to have a coffee at Green (Opposite the Corner of Weston St and Sydney Road). Every time I go there, I remember how absolutely awesome it is. The place just has an awesome vibe, the food is fresh, the coffee is great. Mum quiet enjoyed it as well. I took this photo as we were enjoying a coffee.
If this post doesn't make sense, it's because I am extremely tired.

Biopsy
In order to qualify for a new clinical trial, mum has shifted hospitals from the Royal Melbourne to Western General. She has retained the same oncologist who works at both.
With the shift comes new paperwork, many more blood tests, a biopsy, and the potential for hope. It's a fairly risky trial, with one in three patients given a placebo. There is also a chance that the drug could simply not work for her. It's a long shot, but at least it is a chance.
As well as listening to the advice of doctors, mum has also been taking natural herbal medicine. Although I initially didn't mind the smell, it has managed to permeate through the house. Everything smells of herbal medicine. So much incense is being burnt to mask the smell.

Codeine Linctus
Two months ago, mum started a new round of chemo. The doctors said that it would be much milder than her first dose of chemo through IV (which she had initially had some fairly nasty reactions too). This round would allow her to keep her hair, and hopefully would keep her tumors stable for a year or more.
Three or four weeks after she started, she started coughing. Two more rounds of chemo and the coughing didn't ease. The doctors prescribed her some codeine, and suggested that perhaps the chemo wasn't working. An MRI confirmed that last wednesday.

There is now no more conventional approved treatments for her cancer. We are now looking at clinical trials.
Mum is coping quiet well. Every night, she sits behind her laptop and watches youtube videos which her friends have sent her. This pic was taken |

With conventional treatment failing, mum has turned to herbal medicine. She has started boiling a mixture of lingzhi mushrooms, grasses, and other herbs into a tea. About 18 months ago, I photographed her cooking spring rolls in the kitchen. The reason this image is in colour is it reminds me of those photographs. |
Beans
Today is International Coffee Day. The humble little coffee bean is more than just a pick me up. Coffee is the second most traded commodity in the world behind crude oil. While enjoying your brew, spare a moment and think about where those rich grains of magic came from.

Anarchist Photographer with an Old Camera
While walking through the city, I noticed this gentleman (whose name unfortunately escapes me) changing a dark slide while photographing an Anarchist Society protest. I couldn't help but stop and ask him about his machine and how he works. He explained that he just shoots for fun and had been shooting street photos on sheet film. He carries three dark slides, allowing him 6 shots. He processes his own Tri-X and only prints using an enlarger. Amazeballs.
We discussed how awesome Doc's are, camera stuff, and Melbourne before I head on my merry way. People like this make me smile.

Fairfield
While exciting the pub with a few good friends in Fairfield, I noticed these balloons stuck in the powerlines. My good friend Ash Pritchard (who lives near the pub) told me they had been up their for a week or so.

đám giổ
In Vietnamese culture, families hold a feast to commemorate the anniversary of a death in the family. Last Saturday night, my family gathered for a dinner to remember my grandfather. I never met the man; he passed away while he was still living in Vietnam.
My apologies for not keeping posts frequent. I have been quiet sidetracked recently with work and my personal life.
